Born in Damascus, Issa Kazah graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Syria in 1995.
Kazah’s influences stem from the stories of war and breaking news that surround him and this can predominantly be seen in his bronze figures.
Architecture has also influenced the way he builds his artwork (as both his father and uncle are architects) as well as primitive art from China, Africa and other Arab countries.
He has exhibited his sculptures in various countries including Kuwait, Syria and Turkey.
His first solo show in the UAE was with Showcase Gallery and the Syrian artist has produced a collection of limited edition bronze works in wax, all depicting the human form and silhouettes in various standing poses, the works on show include Steel Wall, Annunciation and Rebellion.
